Our summer trip back home!
We were so excited to be heading home for a month this summer! It was our first trip back in a year and we couldn't wait to see all of our family! Unfortunately, Lyle couldn't make the trip with us so I was traveling by myself with three kids. It was interesting! We were going to be gone for a month so it was hard to leave him!
We started the morning off by walking with our luggage to the Forest Hill Muni Station down from our house. Ella and Luke were so grown up and responsible. They each had a suitcase they had to pull and take care of while I wrangled Annabeth. The Muni was a little busy but we did it with no problems. We got off at the Powell Station where we then got on the Bart to ride to the airport. I was so proud of us! Can't you see how excited the kids were about going home! This are pics from the Bart.
We got to the airport with plenty of time to spare so we grabbed a quick lunch before heading off.
Annabeth was getting so tired by the time we were ready to bored that I thought for sure she would go to sleep but not for a second! Not until we were about 10 minutes from landing. I can't complain though, she was a trooper! The kids were so excited about flying Virgin America for the first time. They loved that they each had their own TV with remote and games to play. It was a really nice flight. We couldn't wait to get off though and be HOME!

Father's Day
Who better to celebrate on Father's Day than this Daddy! We grabbed a quick lunch at Tower Burger...our go to spot close to the house. We literally eat here once a week!
For dinner I cooked lobster tails for the very first time. I wanted to make him lobster salad sandwiches. They turned out really well.
We love you daddy!! Hope you know how much you mean to us!

Luke's new hair do!
For the summer we decided to let Luke have his first buzz cut. He was so excited about this I can't even describe it!
He loved it! He told me later on, "Mom, I've only been out of the shower for 1 minute and my hair is already dry!"
I think he looks pretty cool!

Fort Funston
We are at this point dying to get on that plane and head back West. But we still have several days left here so I am trying to do lots of fun stuff with them and see things we haven't explored yet in SF. One of those was Fort Funston. This site is near where I run and I always see people hiking up the hill so I thought I would take the kids to check it out. It was Beautiful! You hike up sand dunes to an amazing view! I took this picture of the map to show Lyle where we were because he wanted to meet up with us. You can see we were right on the coast and Lake Merced is what I run around.
In this view you can see our Sutro Tower. We are quite attached to that tower since we live so close to it.
We are going to really miss this view!

Last Day of School!
Back in AR the kids always got out of school the week before Memorial Day so the fact that they had to go until June 10th almost did these kids in! But their last week was all half days and the very last day they only went to 10am. They have a tradition at St. Brendan's to go to mass together the last day dressed in normal but church attire....not their uniforms. At the mass they have a moving up ceremony where the kids move up to the next grade and sit in that location in church....since the 8th graders are gone at this point their spot is open for the 7th graders etc....
It was a really nice ceremony and the kids were soooooo happy to be out! I was sooooo happy too because that meant our trip home to TX and AR was right around the corner!
Here they are going to school that last day:
Here we come summer!!!

Raging Waters in San Jose
It is getting close to the end of school here. This last week the kids are getting out everyday at noon so a friend of ours asked if we wanted to meet up at Raging Waters in San Jose which is a big water slide park. The kids were thrilled to go. It was a great time!
Probably my favorite part was when AB fell asleep on my chest. Reminded me of when she was really little. She never does this anymore:(
Love these kids so much!
