Craft time

Being home with AB all the time now means I have to find lots of things to fill our days. Once a week we do arts and crafts. She knows exactly what is about to happen when she sees me pull out the bag of supplies.
She is a mess but so much fun!

Luke's sweet Vday notes to his family

I had to share this. These are things I don't every want to forget.
Top note:
To mom: Happy V-day. I love you so much that I just want to give you a kiss!  Love Luke (that is reference to a game I play with him were I start tickling him after I say that)
Bottom note:
Happy V-day Dad. Hope you get off. Love Luke
To Annabeth : Happy V-day AB. Hope you get lots of milk! Love Luke
Hi Ella. Happy V-day. Hope you get lots of candy. Love Luke

Larkspur Landing

I had heard about this great burger place in Larkspur Landing called Belcampo Meat Co. which is over Golden Gate Bridge close to Marin. So one Sunday, I loaded up the kids and we headed out. It wasn't awesome but it was fun exploring more of Northern CA. It was a beautiful day!

There was a great little park next to the restaurant so we stretched our legs there before heading home. One funny story from that day that I am sure the kids would love for me to document so that we never forget is that on our way there Luke kept telling me from the back seat that he was hot. He little cheeks were bright red. I told him I didn't know what was wrong because I had the air all the way on full blast. I told him to just wait and it would cool off. About 30 minutes later he said it again, and I checked the air and told him to try to be patient. 15 minutes goes by and he says, "Mom, I swear there is hot air coming out." Annoyed, I checked the air again and sure enough I had turned the heat up to full blast instead of the A/C! They love that they caught me doing something wrong! We laughed all day about that!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's day is always fun around here. I got the kids' mailboxes put out on the 1st of Feb. It was even more exciting this year because AB got to join us and boy did she get into it! For weeks after Valentine's Day, she kept asking for the mailboxes!

AB and I spent one of our crafting days making this cute banner to surprise Ella and Luke when they got home from school. Ella loved it of course and Luke was more concerned about what was in the mailboxes:)
The kids' had fun making some heart sugar cookies and I helped the kids make these cute Valentine's for their class.
We also made some cute Valentine's for the kids' parties at school.
That morning I made the kids' a sweet breakfast. They love this so much! Some day when AB doesn't knock the plate on the floor, I'll start putting her food on plates again;)
The girls and I celebrate by painting our tails and fingernails. It was AB's first time! She kept stopping to look at her toes all day! So cute!

SuperBowl traditions

Like every SuperBowl Sunday, we celebrated by making super sundaes! The kids absolutely love this tradition! Lucky for us Daddy was home to celebrate with us. It was kind of fun this year because the superbowl was help in San Francisco. It was the Denver Broncos against the Carolina Panthers. We had a little bet going on.....what the score would be and who would win. We all picked the Panthers to win except Ella who picked the Broncos and she was right! Peyton Manning was the quarterback and will most likely retire after this big win!
Here we are watching the game:
and here are the goodies for our sundaes! I always make the kids wait until halftime to make them and it nearly kills them every time!

Super Bowl City

We always love the Super Bowl but this year it was particularly exciting because it was being played here in San Francisco. The teams were the Denver Broncos against the North Carolina Panthers. San Francisco had set up an area on Market Street called "Super Bowl City" where the was food and games focused on the super bowl so one Saturday before the game we took the Muni downtown to go check it out.
We had to go thru a security check point first before actually entering but even that was pretty cool. Lots to look at and tons of people watching. They had big performances on the stages by the cheerleaders. Luke got a cool Superbowl football. On our way back we stopped at a burger place on Market Street before heading home. It was a pretty fun day.

A Little Zoo Time

The kids had a random Friday off from school so we decided to head to the zoo. It was a great, quiet morning.  All the animals were performing in particular the gorillas. It was a really fun day. First we stopped and had a little hot chocolate to start the day off right!

This peacock roams around the zoo all day!
 Happy kids!
