The fall is always a busy time of year with lots of sports activities. This year is no different. Ella had her first cross country meet of the year and placed 7th...a place she is determined to beat! She really loves running and I am so glad she has found something she feels confident in and motivated to keep going. Its going to be a great season!
Luke has started flag football this year for the first time since moving back to Little Rock. That kid is obsessed with football. He has had a couple games so far and is doing really well. He received the game belt this past weekend...kind of like the game ball...for doing so well. Scored a touchdown in this game. He is playing with his buddy Gray who also loves football. Next year they can play tackle football for CTK. Hope he still likes it as much after the tackling part kicks in:)

Annabeth started soccer this fall. Just like Ella and Luke did at her age. So was very excited about her first big game!
She has a really sweet little team and she has been having so much fun playing!

Family get away to the Great Smoky Mountains
We decided this year to take a little family trip over the Labor Day weekend. We decided to go to Knoxville TN to see the Smoky Mtns. I have gone there a couple times with my family growing up and it was really nice so I thought it would be a good get away with our kids. We left Friday night and drove to Nashville. Such a beautiful city! Lyle booked us a hotel for the night. Now, in our family Lyle always books the hotel rooms and the kids love it because he tries to get the biggest every time just to make them laugh. We stayed in a hotel next to Vanderbilt (I secretly hope all our kids go to college there).
The next morning we explored Nashville a bit and found these huge angel wings we all had fun with!
We then made our way to Knoxville where we stayed for two days. Day one we checked out the Smoky Mountains and went to Gaitlinburg where there was a little tourist center at the base of a huge hill. We rode a ski lift up the hill where there where more games to play then rode back down. I think only Lyle enjoyed the ski lift...as you can see by Ella's face. I was terrified the whole time.
The next day we took the kids to Dollywood. We all love theme parks and had heard Dollywood was great. It really was!! And the best part....AB was tall enough to ride most of the roller coasters! She loved the roller coasters!
Here are some pics of our fun at Dollywood:
Waiting patiently for the park to open!
Such an awesome trip! So glad we took this time as a family! I hope we go back soon!
