We spent the rest of the weekend showing them some of our favorite parts of the city and then just hung out at the house while the kids played. We even caught some of the Rangers game. Just like old times! It was great having you guys! Hope you come back soon! We love you!

Guess who came for a visit??
Last weekend Mims and Pa came up for their first visit to Little Rock. It was so great seeing them. Ella made a big sign to welcome them. They got to our house around 5pm on Friday and Ella took them on the grand tour. We had a nice dinner and the kids got some good quality time with their grandparents. Mims even got to play ponies with Ella for a while which I am sure was Mims' favorite part of the weekend:).

Our Little Lemonade Stand
Last Saturday, my sister, mom and I had a garage sale. My sister had the idea to let the girls set up a lemonade stand during the sale. This was perfect for Ella because the week before I had bought her some pink lemonade and she was constantly setting up stands in our house...I was getting very tired of drinking tiny cups of lemonade! She was very excited to have a real one. The girls were absolutely adorable. It was so funny to watch.
Our little entrepreneurs!

Papa was of course the first customer!

After about an hour of selling lemonade, the excitement had died down and Ella and Sophia had lost interest but not little Eliza Grace!! She persevered and stood by that stand until the last drop was sold! What a hard little worker!!

So what was Luke up to during the garage sale....riding this little rocking horse. He rode that thing all day. It was cute and...yes he fell again and scratched his nose not but a week after his nose healed from the last fall. Guess I have to wait on getting his pictures taken yet again.

Jumping kids
Ella was jumping around in the garage one afternoon which means that Luke had to be jumping too. It was so funny but as always once I finally got the camera out there he stopped being so excited about it. Still it was funny and worth posting. At the beginning of the movie he is on the ground because he just fell after jumping which he thought was so hilarious. Boys...why do they think hurting themselves is sooo funny??
Making the house our own!
So, I have been very busy these last couple of days painting. I started on the bathroom because it was the worst...terrible wallpaper. It got very complicated quick. The previous owners applied the wallpaper straight to the drywall without properly sealing the it which meant that when I tried to take it down the drywall came with it. What a mess but with the help of my dad, I was able to completely restore the walls and make the bathroom look amazing!! We put new hardware on the cabinets and a new faucet. Below is an after pic and below that is the only good picture I have of what it looked like before. It is a picture of Luke getting his teeth brushed for the first time.

Thought I better throw in this pic of Ella so she doesn't feel slighted.

Next, with the help of my sister, I was able to paint Ella's room. Now at first I was very resistant to the purple wall color and begged her to let me do it in a green like I had imagined but she knew what she wanted and since it was her room...up went the purple. I had to admit to her later that she was right. Purple was the perfect color for that room. It looks so adorable and she is so happy!! We still want to buy her new furniture and a few more accessories but it is shaping up to be the best little girl's room.
