Last Day of School!

Back in AR the kids always got out of school the week before Memorial Day so the fact that they had to go until June 10th almost did these kids in! But their last week was all half days and the very last day they only went to 10am. They have a tradition at St. Brendan's to go to mass together the last day dressed in normal but church attire....not their uniforms. At the mass they have a moving up ceremony where the kids move up to the next grade and sit in that location in church....since the 8th graders are gone at this point their spot is open for the 7th graders etc....
It was a really nice ceremony and the kids were soooooo happy to be out! I was sooooo happy too because that meant our trip home to TX and AR was right around the corner!
