Look what I can do!
We took a few quick shots of Luke holding is head up. He is really starting to wake up and interact with us. We still can't quite figure out who he looks like though. Any thoughts??

Happy Valentine's Day, Love Bug!
Our little "Love Bug"--don't you see the heart shaped antennas?
Ella loved her special Valentine's from Eliza, Sophia and Maya--Thank you!
Ella opening her Valentine's from Mom and Dad. She was very excited!
Ella showing Luke the musical Sunshine card they got from mom and dad.
Showing off their special Valentine PJs.
Mom and Dad had a little fun of their own for Valentine's Day. Lyle surprised me with tickets to the Mavericks (Dallas's NBA team) game. They played the Boston Celtics. Our first night out since Luke joined the family. Thanks to Mims and Pa for babysitting.
Meeting the Family
Aunt Amber and Uncle Logan made a special trip from Boulder, CO to come see Luke. Luckily, Elizabeth and Landry were free that weekend allowing us to get the whole family together, which can be a rare thing. Ella was so thrilled to get to hang out with her cousins-especially Belle who she thinks is pretty cool. Luke met his cousins for the first time. I don't think he knew it though, he slept most of the day. We had a full day of pizza, dress up, playing at the park, throwing balls around, and birthday cake ( it was Logan's birthday!) It was a great day! Thanks to everyone!

1 month old already!
My mom used to say to me, "If you think time flies now, wait until you have kids then time really goes by fast." Now I truly understand. Although he is still very little I can't believe Luke is 1 month old. It is like what Ella told me just this morning, "We are just growing up, Mommy." Here are a few pictures of how much Luke has changed in just a month. I hope you can see his bright blue eyes in these pictures. We are beginning to think they might stay blue.

You are my Sunshine!
I am usually telling Ella to stay off her brother or don't get too close, but when I caught her singing him "You are my Sunshine" my heart melted and I didn't mind her being too close. If you listen close enough to the end where the verse is "so please don't take my sunshine away", Ella changed it to "so please don't take my Lukie away". I thought it was very sweet.
E-L-L-A
Recently, I have started helping Ella learn how to write her letters and her name. I didn't know if she was really picking it up or not because sometimes she seemed pretty disinterested, but one evening she came to me with her MagnaDoodle and showed me how she wrote her name all by herself. I was so proud of her! I guess sometimes kids really do listen.

Our Super Bowl Sunday!
Although our Cowboys were not in the Super Bowl, we were still excited about the big game. Even Ella got excited about the game--I think you can see why!
We took a quick picture before church that morning. Thanks for the new dress, Mims! We loved it!

No better way to celebrate Super Bowl Sunday than with some super sundaes (hence Ella's enthusiasm for the game)

Daddy was very excited to watch Luke's first Super Bowl with him.

We finished the celebration with Luke's first bath--can't you see how much he enjoyed it.
