Not much going on these days, so I thought I would share with you some of the typical moments seen at our house each evening.
Luke usually hangs out in his bouncy seat on the kitchen floor while I cook dinner. This night he was very interested in the bugs that hang on his seat. It was fun watching him get so excited about them.
Ella is always providing us with unusual dinner conversations. This night it was about the funny dreams she has been having--I thought I would share them with you.

Our day at the Zoo!!
Elizabeth and I have been wanting to get the kids together for awhile so with the coming of the nice spring weather, we were lucky to have a beautiful day at the zoo. It was wonderful! The animals seemed to enjoy the weather as well because they were all out and putting on a great show especially the lion that could be heard roaring throughout the entire park! We had great time and thanks to Elizabeth and the kids for hanging out with us! We hope to do it again soon!
We began with the monkeys-- very exciting!

Belle and Ella described the meerkats perfectly, "The meerkats are so cute!! We want to take one home." Thankfully for Elizabeth and I that wasn't an option!

The boys loved the animals. In this picture they were pointing out some ducks who were putting on quite a show splashing in the water. (Notice the little blue crocs..they are too cute!)

A day at the zoo wouldn't be complete without.... ice cream (rainbow and vanilla dots)....

.....and a ride on the train. Even Luke enjoyed the train. Can't you see how relaxed he is!!

2 months and growing!
A rough week!
At 7 weeks Luke was diagnosed with bronchiolitis. He had a deep wheeze and a TERRIBLE cough. After a tough week, he is doing much, much better and was finally able to get some peaceful sleep.

Because I was so busy taking care of Luke, Ella had to entertain herself for awhile. She came up with a pretty clever idea. She was going to make wands that we would then send to Santa Claus so that he could make them magic. We could then use them to become "permanent fairies"--of course we would first have to take flying lessons! Here is a picture of Ella proudly displaying the wands she made, one for each of us. Daddy had a hard time saying he wanted to be a fairy though!

Luke's first Ash Wednesday and a glance back to Ella's
We recently celebrated Ash Wednesday and we couldn't resist getting a picture of Luke with his first ashes. It reminded me of Ella's first ashes and I was amazed that we were now celebrating this moment with another child.

Church must of put Luke in a good mood because he was very playful afterwards--I think he was just happy it was over much like his sister!
