Two front Teeth

Luke lost his two front teeth last week. He lost one one day and the next one the next day. He was so excited about losing one that he couldn't wait to get the other one out because it was wiggly too. He had to wait until Daddy got home to pull it out though...mom is no good at that:)
These pics make me laugh!

The tooth fairy didn't come the first night however. We figured it was because she only wanted to make one trip and knew the other one was coming out the next day;) She brought that little guy $1 for those little teeth! One very happy little boy!

Our move to San Francisco

I have in other posts mentioned that we are moving to San Francisco for Lyle's transplant fellowship. Well, that move is fast approaching so I thought I would do a quick little update on when we are going/coming back and our plans to get there as of right now.

We found out almost a year ago that we were moving to San Francisco and now in less than two months we will be there. Very exciting and very stressful all at the same time. Our first order of business to make the move was to get the kids in school. We tossed around multiple ideas...public school, home school and private school. Our kids are in private school now so we really wanted to continue with that. Also, we wanted them to really experience living in CA and being in school where they could make friends and become involved in sports and other activities, we felt, was part of that. We didn't have the first clue as to how we would get them in a private school out there though. But luck (and divine intervention) was on our side. It just so happens that our principle at the kids' current school is very good friends with the principle of the exact private school in SF we really wanted the kids to go to...it was recommended to us by the wife of an attending at UCSF where Lyle will be working and it is located in the area we wanted to be in. So, our principle (Mrs. House) contacted her and in the blink of an eye the kids were enrolled at St. Brendan's Catholic School in the 4th and 1st grades! Biggest hurdle was at the end the easiest!
As for where we will live, well that is still a work in progress. We are going to rent for the two years we are there and the rental market is crazy out there. We are making a trip in June to find a place. We have to pay for a month we won't actually be there but apparently that is just how you have to do it:( We would like to be within walking distance of the hospital (might be the only way we actually get to see Lyle) because we are selling one car so he will need easy access to work....he is thinking about getting a bike too. We will see. Inner Sunset, Diamond Heights, Forest Hill and Noe Valley are neighborhoods we are interested in so if anybody out there has a cheap rental property please let us know!
We would really like to rent our current house but we have had it on the rental market for two months now and haven't had any one willing to wait until July to rent. That makes us kind of nervous so as of this morning we have also listed the house to sell. That makes a nervous too.
That so far is the update on where we stand with the move. We are moving the first week of July and Lyle starts work August 1st and the kids start sometime late August. Peep and I are for the time being going to stay home together. Once we get settled we will most likely try to get her in a mommy's day out kind of thing. His fellowship will be over July 31st 2017. We will be moving back to Little Rock after that. Lyle has signed a contract here with UAMS.
Keep us in your prayers....we are going to need lots and lots of patience!!

Easter 2015

We kicked off the Easter season with some egg decorating. AB missed out on it this year...she was napping...funny how she is always napping when messy things are taking place:)
Ella and Luke are pros at this stuff now.
Daddy even got in on the fun!
Beautiful eggs!

The DW on this egg stands for Disney World. We surprised the kids this year with a trip to Disney World...I think you can tell they are excited about it!
Quick pic of the kids before Easter vigil mass.
Kids in their Easter PJs the night before the Easter bunny comes!
Easter morning was very exciting!
Lots of Easter goodies including new Disney t-shirts!

AB enjoyed Easter quite a bit this year. She even got in on some of the egg hunting.

That afternoon we drove to my parents to spend Easter with them. They had a big easter egg hunt for the kids and mom cooked a delicious meal! Great times!
Especially for this sweet little girl!

Annabeth's 1st Birthday party

I was so excited to throw AB's birthday party this year. It was her first which is exciting but also because it wasn't in January! Both Ella's and Luke's are in January and it is usually cold so we can't do much outside which limits what we can do and the themes we can chose from but with AB's being in spring we could plan something outside! So we planned a simple BBQ with family and friends. It was such a beautiful day!
Here is a pic of her invitation:
And some pics of the decorations:

Ella and Luke made their own decorations outside on the driveway since we were playing lots of outside games during the party. They really love that little girl!

We also setup a picture booth in the dining room but it really didn't get much use because everyone was outside.
Ella made a really sweet slide show of AB's first year. Had a slide describing all the things she loved about Annabeth. Here is a pic of everyone watching it on the TV.
Time for the big moment!

She just smiled while we sang to her and didn't really know what to do with the cake. She tried a bit of the icing but wasn't a fan so she was done!

It was a pretty easy party and lots of fun! Thanks to everyone for coming over! Especially Mims and Pa for making the long drive from TX! It made AB feel very special....she just didn't know it!

It happened...Annabeth turned 1

Can not believe my baby turned one! Fastest year of my life!
 Annabeth,
There are no words to describe how much I love you. How much your father and your sister and brother love you. You are an absolute miracle in our lives...one that we didn't know if we would get to experience again. Everyday with you is a gift. I have loved watching you grow this first year, seeing you meet all your milestones and figuring out little things for yourself. I can't wait for many many many more years with you!
Love you baby girl!
